Art at Liquid Assets
Marsa cannot remember a time when she was not creating art; from her childhood of “sculptured Victorian ladies” made from cupcake papers and clothespins and the neighborhoods best mud pies to her present day art accomplishments in printmaking, photography, and film.
Marsa Morse graduated from Southern Oregon University with a BA in Studio Art with her focus on printmaking and a double minor in Film Studies and Video Production. She is well versed in the arts and is a successful curator for Liquid Assets and the Hannon Gallery at the Hannon Library.
Other accomplishments include:
- Personal art shows in Salem, Oregon for her print work and graphite drawings.
- Personal art shows in Ashland, Oregon for her print work, photography and an art installation titled, “A life well lived,” focusing on sexuality among senior citizens.
- Producer and filmmaker of four pieces for “Southern Oregon Art World,” broadcasted on public access television.
- Actively involved in ongoing community service projects; including work on the Ashland Peace Wall and housing development for homeless Vietnam veterans.
Current projects include:
- Filmmaker and producer of, “When the Canary Sings,” a documentary on autism.
- Publishing a coffee table book featuring artists who have displayed at Liquid Assets.
- Assistant editor of “Ashland Art,” slated to be a quarterly publication highlighting the local art scene of Ashland, Oregon.
